It is officially December which means we are counting down to the holidays! At Girl In Gamba, we are inclusive here, ok? It doesn’t matter what holiday you celebrate or if you celebrate at all. It’s really about being with family and enjoying the overall happiness that comes with this time of year. That being said, I love music, and cannot stop rocking to holiday music, so here are our top 10 holiday songs to get you in the mood! I should also disclaim that this list is entirely an opinion and we all can agree or disagree. Additionally, I wanted to include some versions of songs that aren’t as popular as others. So, you won’t be finding Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You on here. But we all know how much we love that song and will forever be the one of the many anthems for Christmas.
Top 10 Holiday Songs
10. Mele Kalikimaka
Mele Kalikimaka by The Puppini Sisters has such a fun sound to it! Makes you want to rock in your seat back and forth! Which is why it’s on the list!
9. All My Bells Are Ringing
I have been listening to this song since it came out in 2009! All My Bells Are Ringing by Lenka definitely deserves to be on this list. It’s literally so cute, and it kinda has this old sound that makes you want to do the twist. Can’t get enough of it!
8. Ho Ho Hopefully
The Maine gave us Ho Ho Hopefully a long time ago, and I’m still listening to it. It’s different, but it still gives us that holiday feeling. Isn’t it crazy how time flies?
7. I Want Candy
Ok, so I want Candy may not necessarily be a holiday song, but this throwback needs to be on this list. I mean, who else remembers this episode of Lizzie McGuire? And who else had a huge crush on Aaron Carter?
6. Hava Naglia
Hava Naglia is an Israeli folk song sung around Jewish celebrations. We’re including it on this list because well Hanukkah!
5. Winter Wonderland/Don’t Worry Be Happy
Love love love this fusion with Penatonix and Tori Kelly. It is so catchy! Perfect to get you in the mood this holiday season.
4. This Christmas
Who can forget this modern classic? I mean we’re still disappointed in Chris Brown, but this song definitely was a fave for many people.
3. Santa Baby
This version by VersaEmerge has been one of my favorites! Literally cannot get over how sultry it sounds. Seriously give it a listen! I say it’s smooth like velvet.
2. Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)
The queen of modern Christmas music is coming in at number 2. Mariah Carey has been serving us this classic for years, and it will never get old! Please don’t hurt me for putting her at number 2. I have good reason, I swear!
1.Baby It’s Cold Outside
Two years ago Idina Menzel & Michael Bublé gave us this gem. And the music video for it is so so cute! It’s really darling, and that’s why it’s #1.
