5 Girl Boss Women You Should Inspire To Be

I recently came across this post by Chloe over at I’m Just A Girl. Even though she used social media influencers, I was really inspired to compile my list. I know the girl boss movement has really taken off but I still feel like women aren’t as valued as male counterparts. Certainly, women dominate some fields more, but I know that it would be nice to have even more amazing women to look up to. I definitely have a business mindset and it’s something that I think a lot of women should strive to be. As someone who is not caught up in social media that much these days, I tend to look for girl boss inspiration in other avenues. So, I thought that I could share my unique perspective on 5 girl boss women you should inspire to be.

Bianca Caampued and Mallory Blair

Bianca and Mallory are the amazing women behind Small Girls PR. I stumbled upon their business when looking into ideas about PR and what the market is like now. They specialize in new creative ways to do public relations. Personally, I think it’s amazing that they’ve created such a successful business for themselves. These amazing girl boss women have built a pretty impressive portfolio for themselves and even acquired an office on the west coast. They’re definitely the kinds of women I aspire to be.

Amal Clooney

I can absolutely fall in love with Amal. She is the definition of beauty and brains. So, I strive to be very much like her. She is a Lebanese-British international and human rights lawyer who has such impeccable style. On top of that, she has done so many things such as starting a foundation for justice with her husband, George Clooney, sponsoring students to go to school, and donating to various causes. Overall, she doesn’t seem like she’s afraid to speak her mind and stand for justice. Who wouldn’t want to inspire to be that?

Everyone’s got some greatness in them. You do. The girl over there does. That guy on the left has some. But in order to really mine it, you have to own it. You have to grab hold of it. You have to believe it.

Shonda Rhimes

Shonda Rhimes

Shonda is another girl boss woman that I love. You may know her as the woman behind TGIT on Thursdays on ABC with her shows Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, and How To Get Away With Murder, but she does so much more. Her portfolio in the entertainment industry is quite impressive and she has her own production company, Shondaland. She’s the epitome of getting stuff done and I am inspired to build an empire like her.

Arianna Huffington

I think publishing has to be a difficult field to work in, but that’s what Arianna did. Born in Greece, she co-founded Huffington Post and went on to found Thrive Global. I definitely think she’s a good example of a woman who has created a lasting name for herself.

Fearlessness is like a muscle. I know from my own life that the more I exercise it the more natural it becomes to not let my fears run me.

Lyndsey Scott

Lyndsey Scott is one of my recent faves when it comes to girl boss women. She’s a model, with an acting career, and she’s an app developer. I’ve tried coding before and wish I would’ve continued it as a hobby, but I love how effortless Lyndsey makes her life. She shows women that you can be whatever you want to be and you can do and have a wide range of interests. There’s no stopping her.
