My Productive Summer Morning Routine

My Productive Summer Morning Routine

A few months ago, I wrote about my productive morning routine. However, since it’s Summer, some things have changed! So, I wanted to share my productive Summer morning routine!

Wake Up

Previously, I was waking up at 6 a.m. Since then, I’ve given myself some slack. So, I’m getting up at 7 a.m., which works pretty well for me during the Summer. I do have to admit that I miss my 6 a.m days, but it’s also nice to get an extra hour since I’m going to sleep later.

Morning Workout

First thing I’m doing in the morning is a light workout. This really helps me to get going. On top of this, it seems that I like to stay up later in the Summer. So, a morning workout gets me to work out. It’s nothing strenuous for me. Lately, I’ve been loving HIIT walking. Check out my newest fave here. I haven’t been doing morning stretches like in my previous post, which I’ve been missing. So, I’m going to start doing stretches again because my goal is to learn how to do the splits.

Breakfast

After working out, I eat breakfast. My breakfast changes vastly depending on how hungry I feel. I don’t make my own cereal as much anymore, but I still make sure that I’m getting protein in my diet. Lately, I’ve been loving my homemade egg white sandwiches.

Mindfulness

I stopped doing the Daily Stoic back in late May, but I still try to add mindfulness every day. Lately, it’s been in the afternoon, but I’m trying to move it back to the morning. I prefer the morning because I think it gives a positive spin on the day. However, sometimes it’s hard to remember when the Summer can be so predictable.

I’ve been running a lot of errands and been out of town a lot this Summer, but I’ve been working hard to keep up a good routine. I hope you enjoyed this post!

Question of the day:
What is your Summer morning routine like?
