One of my favorite brunch places is Penny Farthing. The food is amazing, they have quick turn arounds, and spacious seating. So as you may have read from our last Sunday Brunch Bunch post, I am a huge fan of avocado toast. Can I say that Penny Farthing has some one of the most affordable avocado toast combinations? The eggs come poached, but I like to get them scrambled instead because I’m a little bit on the basic side. Either way, you’re destined to love this place because it comes with a free complimentary beverage with your entree. This is either glorious or a cruel joke.
Normally a mimosa there costs about $11 by itself, so if you want to get your drunch on, this is probably not the place to do it. However, if you get the avocado toast, it comes with a small salad, home fries, and a complimentary beverage (ie mimosa, bloody mary, coffee, or juice). This comes out to about $11 plus tax and tip. See the cruel joke? But hey! If you want a second mimosa, you might as well order a second round of avocado toast for later!
Where Can I Find This Sunday Brunch Spot???
It’s on 13th and 3rd ave, right across the street from Westside Market. Perfect location right off the Union Square subway stop. This place is truly a gem, and I can’t get over how yummy the food is. Hello, the avocado toast! Besides that, the omelettes are pretty standard and yummy, as well as the eggs benedict. You really can’t go wrong with this place, making it one of my brunch staples.
