Some people love Valentine’s Day, and some people don’t. So I decided to make a Valentine’s Day series called, 14 Days of Valentines! I’m super excited about this, and I really hope that you will enjoy this series! So, what does it include? We’re doing drink ideas, food ideas, brunch ideas, gift ideas, and more! Everyday there will be something different on the website for you to read! Now, most Valentine’s Days I have spent it with my single lady friends, so there will definitely be posts for everybody.
As a kid I actually didn’t like Valentine’s Day because we would get those dry heart-shaped candies. I’ve always been a chocolate girl, and very rarely did anybody in class bring chocolate to school. These candies are the bane of my existence, and I never want to subject my future hypothetical children to them. Ok, I’m being a little dramatic, but I really do hate these candies that kind of look like Sweet Tarts. Additionally, Valentine’s Day seems to involve strawberries. Again, I’m a chocolate girl, and as a kid I was not about strawberries. I’ve since grown out of that, but believe me, there will be chocolate in the 14 Days of Valentines series.
Speaking of which, you will find the posts circulating on the homepage, but you can also find them here. So, I started this series because I feel like it is one of the fun holidays at the beginning of the year. I mean you have to wait until the end of the year for Christmas, Hanukkah, Winter Solstice, and more!
But Valentine’s Day is a day that everyone can celebrate, no matter if you’re single, taken, or if it’s complicated.
I think everyone will love something that will come from this series! Additionally, if you hate Valentine’s Day, and want to do anti-Valentine’s Day, we support you too! We get it; Valentine’s Day has typically been reserved for couples. Well, I’m here to tell you that sure Valentine’s Day can be for couples, but it can be for us single folks too! I mean, come on, chocolate and booze, am I right? And I want you to know that if you’re down because you don’t have a valentines, then I am here to be your valentines. I truly believe celebrating with friends or even alone is just as great as celebrating with a significant other. So please join me, and we can all celebrate together!
14 Days of Valentines will start tomorrow, Feb. 1st!
