No Carb Fast Food? | J.Lo’s 10 Day Challenge

J.Lo's 10 day challenge

Today was the day that I ventured into the land of fast food and this stupid challenge. As you can see, I am nearly fed up and looking forward to the end. I would quit now, but I only have 3 days left and that would be anti-climatic. J.Lo’s 10 day challenge is officially slowly killing my spirit.

Day 7

Breakfast

I ate at Panera! Although I feel like I cheated, this was honestly because of poor planning. I ate part of their spinach and artichoke souffle as I didn’t realize it had some breading. Essentially I ate around it. Then I had their greek yogurt and mixed berries. This is where I’m not so sure about if I cheated because I didn’t stop to think if the Greek yogurt had added sugar. I sure hope not! At this point, do I care though?

You can get a scrambled egg, tomato, spinach, and avocado from Panera if you’re doing this challenge.

Lunch

Lunch was really good! I went to my favorite Italian restaurant and ordered a salad with scallops. Not exactly pasta or pizza but it was good!

Dinner

Dinner was leftover salmon and veggies. I also had some leftover spaghetti squash pasta with Trader Joe’s pesto from the other day.

Today’s Takeaway

I’m constantly hungry and fatigued with this diet. I think I’ve gone over every possible explanation on why. It could very well be PMS but the hunger is most likely due to the diet at this point. I am trying to keep a good attitude given that I have 3 days left.

However, today was eye-opening. My typical go-to at Panera is the oatmeal with quinoa, almonds, and honey and the egg white, spinach, and avocado sandwich. That holds me for breakfast and lunch. That being said, it’s probably too much and I realize that. I think this challenge is teaching me about balance, from one extreme to the other.

Question of the day: What is your go-to fast food breakfast meal?
